Now I’m 3,500 miles into a long (7-8-9k?) trek with a Sublime 2015 Challenger R/T Scat Pack. Subtle...it is not. Fun? 500 ponies of Oh shit yes. (and yeah, I know the official line is 485hp, but they’re putting down 430-44 to the wheels...come on) I left Detroit Wednesday afternoon, then went through the UP and took the northern route to Yellowstone, then Missoula, then (an amazing) drive down to Mammoth Lakes, then through Yosemite, and I arrived in Northern Hollywood this afternoon. A lot of back roads, some wide open interstate, a bunch of twisties, and even a little two tracking (#becauseiMaps).
This week I’m filming with Miller at !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ’s shop, with Max Grundy at his studio, then at Marrs Cycles. Thursday I’m gonna go hang out with my man !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and unlike last time, I’ll make sure to get some pictures from ICON to share.

Then starts Hot Rod Magazine’s Power Tour, and I’ll meet up with my friends rolling in that (in a 2013 Mustang GT, ‘14 Viper TA, ‘14 Camaro 1LE, Turbo LS powered swedish brick, etc.) somewhere in Illinois or Missouri. Finish up in NOLA, then heading back north.
I know this car has been reviewed a bunch, but hit me up with any real world questions about the Scat Pack. I’m doing more than driving around town for a week or taking to a track for a weekend, I’m living it across the country for almost 3 weeks. It’s an 8spd with the paddle shifter. Spoiler alert: the ZF TorqueFlight is rad; in Sport it’s set to kill. Next best thing to a manual...and it’s actually close.
